SINGLE SPEAKER TRANSPORT CASE FOR YAMAHA DSX18XLF POWERED SUBWOOFER W-ENGRAV

$1,111.00

Designed for one Yamaha DSX18XLF subwoofer speaker, this road case provides dedicated protection for concert touring, live events and professional stage audio. The single-speaker layout is practical for large subwoofers, where size and weight make paired storage less convenient. A lift off lid allows easier access during loading, setup and pack-down, while the stackable design helps keep trucks, warehouses and production areas organized. There is also an option for custom engraving, which is handy when several black road cases start looking suspiciously identical backstage.

    Description

Designed for One Yamaha DSX18XLF Subwoofer

This transport case is designed to protect one Yamaha DSX18XLF subwoofer speaker used in concert touring, live events and professional stage audio applications. Large subwoofers are often heavy, awkward to handle and not exactly known for being polite during load-in, so this road case gives the speaker its own dedicated storage space. The case measures 890W × 690D × 884.6H mm and has a net weight of 42.6 kg.

The design is made around the Yamaha DSX18XLF, but similar large subwoofer speakers from other brands may be able to use a related case design after adjustment. Cabinet width, depth, height, handle position, grille shape, feet and connector placement can all affect the final fit. Subwoofers can look close enough in photos, then become surprisingly particular once the lid needs to close neatly.

Built and Finished for Touring Use

The exterior panels are made from 9mm WBP birch veneer laminated plywood. Weather and Boil Proof plywood is made from thin layers of premium hardwood bonded with strong adhesive, giving the case panels good resistance to moisture, weather changes and regular transport conditions. Armor’s WBP plywood uses birch veneers bonded with phenolic resin glue, helping the case handle regular movement between trucks, venues, warehouses and backstage areas.

The case is fitted with 2mm heavy duty corner and edge extrusions together with genuine Penn Elcom hardware. These external parts help protect the areas that usually take the most contact during transport, including corners, edges and hardware points. Every panel and hardware position is precision cut using CNC machinery to help maintain accurate sizing, clean alignment and consistent fit throughout the build.

After machining, each case is assembled by trained and experienced workers who understand how touring cases are handled in real production environments. The finished product then goes through a standard QC process covering lid fit, hardware operation, panel alignment, finish and overall build quality. The aim is to deliver a road case that is ready for regular event work, not one that needs a “we will fix it later” conversation at the loading dock.

Lift Off Lid, Stackable Storage and Custom Engraving

The main functional feature of this Yamaha DSX18XLF road case is the lift off lid design. Once the lid is removed, the subwoofer can be accessed more easily for loading, removal and setup. This is especially useful for a single large subwoofer because it avoids unnecessary lifting angles and keeps the handling process more straightforward for the crew.

The single-subwoofer layout is also intentional. Because of the weight and size of large subwoofers, storing one unit per case can make transport more manageable and reduce the handling issues that come with oversized multi-unit cases. The speaker has its own protected space, which helps keep movement controlled during transport and makes it easier to plan how each unit is loaded.

The case is also stackable, which is helpful for truck packing, warehouse storage and venue preparation. When multiple speaker cases are being moved, stackable dimensions help create a cleaner and more predictable layout. It is the kind of practical detail that becomes more appreciated the later the pack-down gets.

An optional custom engraving feature is available for identification, branding or asset tracking. This can be useful for production companies, venues and audio hire businesses that manage a large number of similar cases. Between the lift off lid, dedicated single-subwoofer storage, stackable format and engraving option, this Yamaha DSX18XLF subwoofer road case is built to make heavy speaker transport a little more organized and a little less dramatic.
