    Description

Designed for the Ampeg SVT Classic

This transport case is designed to protect one Ampeg SVT Classic audio amplifier used in concert touring, live events and professional stage audio. It gives musicians, backline providers, hire companies and production crews a practical way to transport the amplifier while keeping setup simple.

The design is made around the Ampeg SVT Classic, but similar amplifier heads from other brands may suit a related layout after adjustment. Chassis size, handle position, feet, ventilation areas and rear connections can all affect the final fit.

Built and Finished for Touring Use

The exterior panels are made from 12mm WBP birch veneer laminated plywood. Weather and Boil Proof plywood is made from thin layers of premium hardwood bonded with strong adhesive, giving the panels good resistance to moisture, weather changes and regular transport conditions. Armor’s WBP plywood uses birch veneers bonded with phenolic resin glue, helping the finished case handle movement between trucks, venues, rehearsal rooms and storage areas.

The case is fitted with 2mm heavy duty corner and edge extrusions together with genuine Penn Elcom hardware. These parts help protect the edges, corners and hardware points that usually take the most contact during transport. All panels and hardware positions are precision cut using CNC machinery to maintain accurate sizing, clean alignment and consistent fit.

After machining, the case is assembled by trained and experienced workers who understand how road cases are used in live production environments. The finished case then goes through a standard QC process covering lid fit, hardware operation, panel alignment, finish and overall build quality. The aim is to deliver a case that is ready for regular stage use, not one that needs attention before the first load-in.

Lift Off Design with Practical Storage

The key feature of this Ampeg SVT Classic amp case is the lift off design with a shallow lid. Once the lid is removed, the amplifier can remain sitting securely in the base while being operated. This reduces handling and avoids the need to lift the amp in and out of the case every time it is used.

The shallow operating base makes setup more convenient, especially when the amplifier is being used regularly across different venues. It keeps the amp protected while still allowing practical access for connection and operation. For crews working under time pressure, fewer unnecessary lifting steps is always a good thing.

There is also general storage underneath the amplifier, providing a useful space for accessories such as cables, power leads, footswitches or other small items. Keeping these items in the same case helps reduce loose gear and makes the amplifier package easier to manage from one job to the next.

The truck friendly dimensions make this Ampeg road case easier to position with other touring equipment during transport and warehouse storage. For musicians, backline teams and production companies, the combination of lift off access, shallow base operation, under-amp storage and durable touring construction makes this Ampeg SVT Classic road case a practical solution for protecting the amplifier while keeping the workflow simple.
