Designed for the BOSS KATANA-100 MKII Amplifier
This transport case is designed to protect one BOSS KATANA-100 MKII amplifier used in concert touring, live events and studio environments. It gives musicians, backline providers, venues and production crews a practical way to move, store and protect the amp while keeping related cables and small accessories in the same case.
The design is built around the BOSS KATANA-100 MKII, but similar amplifier models may suit a related case layout after slight adjustment. Amplifier width, depth, handle position, feet, control layout, rear connection access and cable storage needs can all affect the final fit. Amps often look simple until the foam, cable space and lid all need to agree with each other.
Built and Finished for Touring Use
The exterior panels are made from 12mm WBP birch veneer laminated plywood. Weather and Boil Proof plywood is made from thin layers of premium hardwood bonded with strong adhesive, giving the panels good resistance to moisture, weather changes and regular transport conditions. Armor’s WBP plywood uses birch veneers bonded with phenolic resin glue, helping the finished case handle movement between trucks, venues, studios and storage areas.
Inside the case, EVA foam blocks are used to help support and cushion the BOSS KATANA-100 MKII during transport. The foam helps reduce movement inside the case and provides protection against knocks, vibration and general handling during loading, unloading and transit.
The case is fitted with genuine Penn Elcom hardware, 4 medium latches, 2 large handles, 30mm extrusions and protective edge hardware. These parts help protect the case structure while keeping handling practical for regular touring, live event and studio work. All panels, foam positions and hardware locations are precision cut using CNC machinery for accurate sizing and consistent alignment.
After machining, the case is assembled by trained and experienced workers who understand how amplifier cases are handled in real production environments. The finished case then goes through a standard QC process covering lid fit, latch operation, handle placement, castor function, foam fit and overall build quality.
Castors, Cable Storage and Truckpack Friendly Handling
A key functional feature of this BOSS KATANA-100 MKII road case is the pair castorboards fitted with four castors, including two braked wheels. This makes the case easier to move through venues, studios, rehearsal spaces and loading areas, while the braked castors help keep it positioned when parked.
The two large handles provide useful grip points when the case needs to be lifted, guided or repositioned. This is helpful when rolling is not possible, especially around truck edges, ramps, tight doorways or those backstage corners that seem designed by someone who dislikes equipment cases.
The case also includes storage for cables, helping keep power leads and small accessories with the amplifier. For musicians and production crews, this reduces loose gear and makes setup more organised from one job to the next.
The truckpack friendly dimensions make the case easier to plan around when loaded with other audio, lighting and backline equipment. For touring crews, venues and studio users, this BOSS KATANA-100 MKII amp case focuses on protection, mobility and workflow. The EVA foam support, cable storage, large handles, castorboards and durable hardware all work together to make amplifier transport easier while keeping the amp protected between shows.
