Built for the VIO X205 — and More
This transport case is designed specifically for two dBTechnologies VIO X205 speakers — compact, powerful units often used in live sound reinforcement and touring setups. These are medium-sized speakers, and the case’s internal layout is tailored to fit them snugly with EVA 38 foam lining. While it’s optimized for the VIO X205, similar speakers from other brands may also fit with minor adjustments. If you’re working with comparable gear, this case might just be your new favorite travel companion.
Precision Manufacturing Meets Road-Ready Durability
We take pride in how our cases are built. Every panel is CNC-cut from 9mm WBP birch veneer laminated plywood — a material known for its resistance to moisture and temperature changes. But we don’t stop at good wood. Our cases are assembled by experienced technicians who follow a strict QC process to ensure every latch, handle, and hinge is exactly where it should be. This isn’t just a box — it’s a finely tuned piece of gear protection.
And yes, we know we talk about CNC machines a lot. That’s because every case we make — whether it’s for a fog machine, a vinyl collection, or a confidence monitor — goes through the same meticulous process. It’s our way of making sure you get consistent quality, no matter what you’re hauling.
Functional Features That Make Life Easier
Let’s talk features — the stuff that makes this case more than just a pretty plywood box. First, the foam: EVA 38 foam is dense enough to absorb shocks but soft enough to cradle your speakers without scratching them. The internal layout includes two dedicated compartments for the speakers and two trays for rigging accessories, so you’re not juggling gear at setup time.
On the outside, you’ve got 2x large latches that keep the lid secure, 8x large recessed handles for easy lifting from any angle, and 2x lid stays that hold the lid open while you work. The 35mm extrusions and 2mm corner hardware (a mix of Penn Elcom and Armor’s own premium fittings) add serious structural integrity.
Mobility? Covered. The case rolls on 4x 100mm castors — two of which are braked — mounted on an 18mm full castorboard base with steel castor dishes. That means smooth rolling and stable parking, even on uneven surfaces. And for labeling, there’s a medium label dish so you can mark your gear clearly.
Designed for the Real World
Dimensions come in at 610W x 575D x 660H mm, with a net weight of 40.52kg. It’s compact enough to fit in standard transport setups but roomy enough to hold everything you need. Whether you’re loading into a van, a truck, or a backstage storage area, this case is built to make your life easier.
So if you’re in the entertainment or audio industry and need a reliable way to move your VIO X205s — or similar speakers — this case is ready to roll. Literally.
