MOVING HEAD CASE FOR 2 OF AYRTON MISTRAL WITH CENTER COMPARTMENT , CUSTOMISED FOAM INSERT
$1,677.50
Designed for two Ayrton Mistral moving head lights, this road case provides practical protection for concert touring and live event production. The internal layout includes dedicated fixture spaces and a centre compartment for accessories, helping keep cables, clamps and small lighting items stored with the lights instead of joining the usual backstage treasure hunt. The lift off lid makes access straightforward during setup and pack-down, while castors make the case easier to move through venues, trucks and production areas. Built with 12mm laminated panels, Penn Elcom hardware, reinforced extrusions and steel ball corners, this Ayrton Mistral moving head case is made for regular touring use.

Designed for Two Ayrton Mistral Moving Heads
This transport case is designed to protect two Ayrton Mistral moving head lights used in concert touring and live event production. Moving head fixtures are valuable, sensitive and not the sort of equipment anyone wants sliding around in a generic box, so this case gives each unit a dedicated storage position with a practical centre compartment for accessories.
The design is built around the Ayrton Mistral, but similar moving head lights or compact lighting systems may suit a related layout after slight adjustment. Fixture height, yoke shape, base size, lens position, handle clearance and accessory requirements can all affect the final fit. Lighting fixtures often look simple until the lid, foam and centre storage all need to cooperate at the same time.
Built and Finished for Touring Use
The exterior panels are made from 12mm WBP birch veneer laminated plywood. Weather and Boil Proof plywood is made from thin layers of premium hardwood bonded with strong adhesive, giving the panels good resistance to moisture, weather changes and regular transport conditions. Armor’s WBP plywood uses birch veneers bonded with phenolic resin glue, helping the finished case handle movement between trucks, venues, warehouses and production areas.
The case is fitted with 2mm heavy duty corner and edge extrusions together with genuine Penn Elcom hardware. Reinforced aluminium extrusions and steel ball corners help protect high-contact areas during loading, unloading and storage. The glossy black touring finish gives the case a clean professional appearance while still being made for regular road use, not just for looking nice in product photos.
All panels, compartments and hardware locations are precision cut using CNC machinery to maintain accurate sizing and clean alignment. After machining, the case is assembled by trained and experienced workers who understand how lighting cases are handled in real production environments. The finished case then goes through a standard QC process covering lid fit, hardware operation, castor movement, compartment layout, panel alignment and overall build quality.
Lift Off Lid, Centre Storage and Castor Mobility
The main functional feature of this Ayrton Mistral road case is the two-fixture layout with a centre accessory compartment. The dedicated spaces help keep each moving head positioned during transport, while the centre compartment provides room for related items such as clamps, safety cables, power leads, data cables or small lighting accessories. Keeping those items with the fixtures helps setup move faster and reduces the classic “which case has the clamps?” conversation.
The lift off lid gives clear access to the moving heads, making loading and removal more straightforward. This is useful during busy event setups where crews need to get fixtures out quickly without fighting awkward lid angles or reaching into a poorly arranged case.
Heavy duty castor wheels make the case easier to move around venues, loading docks and backstage areas. Braked castors help keep the case in place when parked, while stackable castor dishes support cleaner storage and truck packing when multiple cases are travelling together.
For touring lighting crews, hire companies and production teams, this Ayrton Mistral moving head case focuses on protection, organisation and handling. The two-light layout, centre compartment, lift off lid, castor mobility and reinforced touring hardware all work together to keep valuable fixtures safer and easier to manage between shows.
