A hinged lid case would always have a small low profile lid that is attached to the case. The benefit of a hinged lid is they are easier to operate compared to a lift off lid, and since the lid is attached to the case, there is no need to worry about it getting lost in an busy work site such as concert, touring, exhibitions, etc.
