Built for the DJI Mavic 3 ecosystem
If you’re using a DJI Mavic 3 for professional work, you already know the drone itself is only half the story. The real kit includes batteries, controllers, chargers, propellers, filters, and all the small pieces that keep the day moving. This custom foam insert is designed to organise and protect the DJI Mavic 3 Fly More and Cine Premium Combo setup inside a NANUK 925 case.
The insert is pre-cut to fit a DJI Mavic 3 drone with the storage cover installed, along with the core accessories most users carry. That includes two DJI Mavic 3 Intelligent Flight Batteries, the DJI RC-N1 Remote Controller, the DJI RC Pro, the battery charging hub, the 65W portable charger, six pairs of low-noise propellers, the ND filter set, and extra space for cables and small items like spare control sticks.
Although the layout is designed around the DJI Mavic 3 system, it can also suit similar drone kits in the same size class. Some models from other brands may fit with slight modifications, especially if the battery or controller shape differs. If you’re building a mixed setup, this insert gives you a strong starting point and a very organised base.
Made for production environments, not just storage shelves
A DJI Mavic 3 kit often ends up working in more than one industry. It’s common in film production and broadcasting, where crews need fast setup and reliable packing between locations. It’s also used in manufacturing for site visuals and progress capture, and in live events and music where aerial footage adds scale and energy to the final edit.
Those environments share one thing in common: gear gets moved constantly. It’s in and out of vehicles, carried through venues, packed on uneven ground, and sometimes handled by someone who definitely didn’t pack it the first time. This foam insert is made for that reality. It keeps your equipment separated and stable, so you’re not relying on luck, paper towels, or “careful, that’s expensive” as your protection plan.
And because everything has a dedicated slot, you can do a quick visual check before leaving a site. If something is missing, you’ll notice immediately. That alone can save you from the classic moment where you arrive home and realise your ND filters are still sitting on a table 40 kilometres away.
Precision cut foam with a consistent manufacturing process
This insert is made from high-quality closed-cell foam designed for protective storage and transport. The foam is selected specifically for durability and long-term shape retention, so the cutouts stay clean and supportive even with frequent use.
To keep the fit consistent, each foam component is precision cut using CNC equipment. That means the cut lines are accurate, the compartments are repeatable, and the final result matches the intended layout rather than varying from one unit to the next. Once cut, the parts are assembled by trained workers who handle alignment, finishing, and final checks.
We also follow a standard QC process so the insert you receive matches the product images and the intended equipment fit. The goal is simple: a clean professional layout that looks correct, fits correctly, and keeps working after many pack-and-unpack cycles.
A layout that makes sense in the real world
The main purpose of this insert is protection, but the second purpose is workflow. A good foam layout should not feel like a puzzle every time you pack it. This one is designed so the most-used items are easy to access, while still keeping everything secure when the case is moved around.
The drone compartment is sized to hold the DJI Mavic 3 with the storage cover installed, so you don’t need to remove it every time you pack up. Battery slots are separated to help prevent contact damage and to keep the kit organised when you’re rotating batteries during a shoot. Controllers each have their own dedicated space, including both the RC-N1 and the RC Pro, which is especially useful for teams that alternate between setups.
There’s also room for the charging hub and the 65W portable charger, so the core power kit stays with the drone rather than floating around in a separate bag. The ND filter set has a dedicated compartment as well, which helps avoid scratches and keeps your filter choices quick and obvious.
Smaller cutouts and open space are included for cables and accessories, which is often where generic foam layouts fail. In real use, it’s always the small parts that get lost first. This insert gives them a proper place, without forcing you to jam everything into one tight slot.
Lid foam included for full case protection
This set includes the foam that fits into the lid of the NANUK 925 case. That matters more than people think. When the lid closes, the foam provides gentle top pressure that helps stop items from shifting and helps protect delicate components during transport.
It also gives you a more complete protective system overall, especially if your case is being carried vertically or packed tightly in a vehicle. With the lid foam in place, the insert works as a full top-and-bottom protective setup, not just a base tray.
If you’re using your DJI Mavic 3 for professional filming, broadcasting, manufacturing site work, or live events, this insert is built to keep your kit organised, protected, and easy to manage. It’s not flashy, but it’s the kind of product you stop thinking about once it’s doing its job—which is exactly the point.
