Designed for the Yamaha DM7 Compact System
This transport case is purpose built for one Yamaha DM7 Compact digital mixer together with one Yamaha DM7 Controller Extension Unit. The complete system is housed within a practical three-part road case designed for concert touring, live productions, broadcast environments and professional stage audio applications. The assembled case measures 781W × 442.9D × 1028.2H mm and has a net weight of 51.6 kg.
Although this case is engineered around the Yamaha DM7 Compact and its controller, other compact digital mixers with a similar footprint may share a comparable layout. Small differences in dimensions, connector locations or control surfaces may require slight modifications to achieve the correct fit. Audio consoles always seem to have one connector sitting exactly where you least expect it.
Built for Professional Touring
The exterior panels are manufactured from 9mm WBP birch veneer laminated plywood. Weather and Boil Proof (WBP) plywood is produced from premium birch veneers bonded with phenolic resin glue, creating a strong panel with excellent resistance to moisture, humidity and changing environmental conditions. It is well suited to equipment that spends as much time travelling between venues as it does mixing shows.
To complete the exterior, the case is fitted with 2mm heavy duty corner and edge extrusions together with genuine Penn Elcom hardware. Every panel, opening and hardware location is precision cut using CNC machinery to achieve consistent fit and alignment throughout the build. Experienced technicians then assemble each case before it progresses through a structured quality control process where hardware operation, panel alignment, overall finish and fit are carefully checked. The result is a road case designed to perform reliably through years of regular production work.
Efficient Design for Faster Setup and Workflow
This Yamaha DM7 Compact road case is built around a practical three-part construction that allows quick and easy access to both the mixer and controller while maintaining excellent protection during transport. The removable sections make positioning the console more efficient, helping engineers avoid handling oversized lids or awkward case components during setup.
The case is designed to securely house both the DM7 Compact mixer and the DM7 Controller Extension Unit. If the controller is not being used, a dedicated foam insert can be fitted in its place to ensure everything remains tightly secured during transport, preventing movement and maintaining protection.
Heavy duty castors improve mobility when moving between trucks, loading docks, backstage areas and FOH positions. With so much equipment typically travelling alongside a digital console, smooth and reliable movement makes a noticeable difference during load-in and load-out.
An integrated rear dog box provides dedicated space for cable management, allowing commonly used cables to remain connected between shows. This reduces the need for repeated disconnection and reconnection, helping to keep wiring organized and ready for use at each venue.
Together, the three-part design, castor mobility and cable-friendly dog box create a workflow that supports faster setup, reduced handling and a more organized working environment. Whether used for touring, live events or fixed installations, this case is designed to help crews spend less time preparing equipment and more time focusing on the production.
