Designed for Two D&B E15X-SUB Speakers

This transport case is designed to protect two D&B Audiotechnik E15X-SUB speakers used in concert touring, live events and professional stage audio applications. It provides a practical road case solution for audio hire companies, production crews, venues and touring teams that need to move speaker systems safely and efficiently. 

Although this case is made around the D&B E15X-SUB, similar speaker or subwoofer models from other brands may be able to use a related design after adjustment. Cabinet size, handle position, connector location, grille shape and stacking requirements can all affect the final fit. Loudspeaker cabinets have a funny way of looking almost the same until someone tries to close the lid.

Built and Finished for Touring Use

The exterior panels are made from 9mm WBP birch veneer laminated plywood. Weather and Boil Proof plywood is made from thin layers of premium hardwood bonded with strong adhesive, giving the case panels good resistance to moisture, weather changes and regular transport conditions. Armor’s WBP plywood uses birch veneers bonded with phenolic resin glue, helping the finished case handle the movement between trucks, venues, warehouses and the occasional damp loading dock.

The case is finished with 2mm heavy duty corner and edge extrusions together with genuine Penn Elcom hardware. Every panel and hardware position is precision cut using CNC machinery to maintain consistent sizing, alignment and fit. The case is then assembled by trained and experienced workers before going through a standard QC process covering hardware operation, panel alignment, fit, finish and overall build quality. The aim is simple: the case should be ready for real touring work, not waiting for a list of small corrections.

Simple Access and Secure Transport

The main functional design of this D&B E15X-SUB road case is the simple lift off lid. Once the lid is removed, both speakers can be accessed clearly for loading and removal. This makes setup and pack-down more straightforward, especially when crews are moving quickly between trucks, stages and storage areas.

Four large latches are used to keep the case securely closed during transport, helping protect the speakers while the case is being moved around production environments. The two-speaker layout keeps the pair together as one transport unit, which is useful when crews need equipment to arrive, move and store in a predictable way. Nobody really enjoys finding one speaker on stage and the matching one hiding somewhere near catering.

Handles, Castors and Stackable Layout

This case is fitted with eight large handles, making team lifting and guiding easier when the case needs to be moved by hand. For regular movement, four 100mm castors are fitted, including two braked wheels. The castors make it easier to roll the case through venues, warehouses and loading areas, while the braked wheels help keep it steady when parked.

The stackable design also helps with truck packing and warehouse organization. When multiple cases are used, stackable sizing makes the transport layout cleaner and easier to plan.
