Designed for Two L-Acoustics A10 Wide Speakers
This transport case is designed to protect two L-Acoustics A10 Wide speakers used in concert touring, live events and studio environments. It gives audio crews, venues, production companies and hire teams a practical way to move and store a matched speaker pair in one dedicated road case.
The design is built around the L-Acoustics A10 Wide, but similar speaker models may suit a related layout after slight adjustment. Cabinet size, handle position, grille shape, feet, connector placement and accessory requirements can all affect the final fit. Speakers may look simple from the outside, but the case still needs the foam, lid and castor layout to behave nicely together.
Built and Finished for Touring Use
The exterior panels are made from 12mm WBP birch veneer laminated plywood. Weather and Boil Proof plywood is made from thin layers of premium hardwood bonded with strong adhesive, giving the panels good resistance to moisture, weather changes and regular transport conditions. Armor’s WBP plywood uses birch veneers bonded with phenolic resin glue, helping the finished case handle movement between trucks, venues, studios and storage areas.
Inside the case, EVA foam blocks are used to help support and protect the two L-Acoustics A10 Wide speakers during transport. The foam helps reduce movement inside the case and provides cushioning against knocks, vibration and regular handling during loading, unloading and transit.
The case is fitted with Penn Elcom hardware, 4 large latches, 8 large handles, 30mm extrusions, ball corners and pair castorboards. These parts help protect the case structure while giving crews proper handling points around the case. All panels, foam positions and hardware locations are precision cut using CNC machinery to maintain accurate sizing and consistent alignment.
After machining, the case is assembled by trained and experienced workers who understand how speaker cases are handled in real production environments. The finished case then goes through a standard QC process covering lid fit, latch operation, handle placement, castor movement, foam fit, engraving placement and overall build quality.
Castorboards, Stacking Dishes and Engraved ID
The key functional feature of this L-Acoustics A10 road case is its two-speaker storage layout combined with practical movement and stackable transport support. The pair castorboards are fitted with 4 castors, including 2 braked wheels, making the case easier to move through venues, studios, warehouses and loading areas.
The 8 large handles provide multiple grip points when the case needs to be lifted, guided or repositioned. This is useful during load-in and pack-down, especially when the case needs to move through tighter areas where rolling is not always the easiest option.
Four steel castor dishes are included to support stacking when cases are arranged in trucks or storage areas. This gives the castors a more predictable position and helps keep stacked cases better organised.
Engraving on the front and back also makes the case easier to identify from either direction. For touring crews and hire companies, that small detail can save time when several similar speaker cases are lined up together. Overall, this L-Acoustics A10 Wide speaker case focuses on protection, clean handling and organised transport for regular production use.
