FP2 WORKSTATION CASE WITH FOAM SHOCK PROOF RACK BAYS
$5,202.70
The WS-FP2-VGG Workstation Case is designed for video production crews who need a deeper and more device-specific setup than the standard WS-FP2. It supports up to four 24 inch monitors and includes a usable platform depth of 691.1 mm, making it better suited to deeper consoles and control surfaces. The front-to-rear rack strip distance is 592.1 mm, giving more depth for rack-mounted equipment. This model also includes dedicated foam cutouts for the Yamaha TF1 Mixer, Panasonic AW-RP60 Controller and ATEM 1ME Advanced Panel. Unlike the WS-FP2, it features a deep tabletop with no top racks, offering a cleaner layout and a more tailored equipment setup.

Designed for Deeper Video Control Setups
The WS-FP2-VGG is a workstation road case designed for mobile video production, live events, touring control rooms and studio environments. It supports up to four 24 inch monitors and gives production teams a portable control station with a deeper platform for larger consoles and dedicated equipment layouts. This makes it a strong choice for crews who want their core video control gear to stay arranged, protected and ready for deployment.
The biggest difference between the WS-FP2-VGG and the standard WS-FP2 is platform depth. The WS-FP2-VGG has a usable platform depth of 691.1 mm, compared with 388.8 mm on the WS-FP2. It also has a front-to-rear rack strip distance of 592.1 mm, compared with 478.6 mm on the WS-FP2. That extra depth makes the VGG version better suited to deeper consoles, control panels and equipment that needs more breathing room.
Built and Finished for Touring Use
The case is made from durable 12mm laminated panels with a glossy black honeycomb finish, giving it a professional appearance while still being built for regular transport. The panel construction uses WBP birch veneer laminated plywood. Weather and Boil Proof plywood is made from thin layers of premium hardwood bonded with strong adhesive, giving the case good resistance to moisture, weather changes and repeated handling. Armor’s WBP plywood uses birch veneers bonded with phenolic resin glue for long-term touring use.
Inside the case, high quality EVA foam padding helps protect equipment from bumps, vibration and handling during transport. The WS-FP2-VGG also includes foam shock proof rack bays, making it suitable for sensitive production gear that needs additional protection while travelling between venues or studios.
The case is fitted with 2mm heavy duty corner and edge extrusions together with genuine Penn Elcom hardware. Aluminium extrusions, steel ball corners, castor wheels and integrated handles help support regular touring movement. All panels, foam cutouts, rack openings and hardware locations are precision cut using CNC machinery before the case is assembled by trained workers and checked through a standard QC process.
Custom Cutouts, Monitor Support and Deeper Workflow
The WS-FP2-VGG is designed with a more specific equipment layout than the standard WS-FP2. It includes dedicated foam cutouts for the Yamaha TF1 Mixer, Panasonic AW-RP60 Controller and ATEM 1ME Advanced Panel. This helps keep these devices organised and supported inside the workstation, instead of relying on a plain flat surface. It is especially useful when the same setup needs to travel often and nobody wants to rebuild the control surface from scratch every time.
The case supports up to four 24 inch monitors, giving operators a practical multi-screen viewing setup for production monitoring, camera control and switching workflows. A removable table attached to the front lid provides a useful extra workspace once the case is opened. The back panel is also removable, making it easier to access equipment, connect cables and adjust the setup as needed.
One important difference is that the WS-FP2-VGG does not include the 3U rack bays underneath the monitors found on the WS-FP2. Instead, the VGG version focuses on a deeper platform, longer rack strip distance and device-specific foam protection. For teams using deeper control gear, that trade-off can make the setup cleaner and less cramped.
For touring technicians, video operators and production teams, the WS-FP2-VGG is a practical workstation case for deeper, more defined video control systems. It combines four monitor support, shock proof rack storage, removable panels, a front table and custom equipment cutouts into one mobile production workstation.
